Here at MC-PC Web Design we have spent the weekend trying to work out why the figures for some of the sites we webmaster for have gone up between 100% - 250%? I have eventualy tracked it down to DIRECT traffic. By direct traffic I asume that the Google Analytics figures have gone up through Spider-Robots crawling the server due to our Digg and Delicious campain. Has our investment of time and effort in the Social Networking technologys worked I hear you ask, sorry I carnt answer that right now but there are still some figures I need to see b4 I can confirm that. Well so much for Page Rank, my Page Rank has gone down and down, but my page has gone up and up for the keywords "web design newcastle under lyme" on Google UK. Just goes to show that Page Rank aint everything. A bit of well wrote XHTML can get the job done without Googles approval :)

The page rank on MC-PC.co.uk, TouristNetUK has gone down today? I guess its time to find out Y Hopefuly I will be back soon with a answer.

Today's chore has been to add all the contacts i have to Yahoo and Outlook. You'd have thought they may export the contact for easy addition to 3rd party apps. The contacts are to get the chance to take part in a little experiment. They have been asked to add them selves to a blog, myspace, youtube, facebook, bebo and flickr. After they have completed that mighty feat, thay have been asked to Digg and Delicious bookmark pages at there discretion for SEO purposes. Do blogs increase traffic to a site? Hope fully we are going to find out :)

My son and I today added a new ASP Cell to TouristNetUK , as this will allow for the addition of fresh text at later date for R&D search engine optimisation reasons. It is hope that the addition of fresh relevant and original text to all of the hotel pages will help every page reach its goal of number one on a Search Engine Results Page. If only life at MC-PC was that simple.

The task in hand is to provide an Iframe for the already existing pages on Tourist Net UK , this Iframe must include a Translator Link, a Blogger button and a serch box. Not only do the pages need a Iframe at the top, but also need a Iframe on the right hand side for Adverts. At the same time as i have the pages in Notepad "cus thats how i work" i must also do the following with the HTML, move the Analytics Code and replace all the "../" relitive address with http://www.touristnetuk.com/images So lets recap - 1. Iframe with - 1a. Translator code 1b. Blogger Button 1c. Google Search Box and Text "SEARCH" 1d. Iframe for Adverts on right hand side below links 2. Update HTML in page 2a. Move the Google Analytics Code from top of the page to the bottom. 2b. Replace all the "../" relitive address with http://www.touristnetuk.com/images Oh well, here we go........ :)

Over the past week we have been updating the MC-PC Web Design and Tourist Net UK web sites to include some of the new Web2 Social Networking Groups, Including Blogger, Facebook, Youtube, Bebo, Twitter and Technorati. I you cannot see your favorite Web2 Application, Plz let me know and i will gladly add it for you.
