The site consists of a Home Page, a About Page, a Contact Page and a Gallery Page containing all of the currently available pictures for sale. The site has E-commerce facility's in the form of Pay-Pal, so that customers can pay for their new pictures there and then. Tourism Adverts or Spamming? By TouristNetUK, the UK's Number 1 rip-off company

Tourist Net UK sell adverts to customers knowing that by placing the advert on all 5000 pages, the customers web site will disappear from Google Yahoo and BING for at least 12 weeks and they just do NOT care as they just want the customers money, This is NOT the way to make money, from your customers misfortunes, this problem is actually created by TouristNetUK, the very people who promises to help. The should be closed down for this practice, but in the eyes of the UK law it is not illegal.

If a sales rep calls you and asks you if you would like to buy Advertising Space, Please say NO for your business sake

The 5000 new pages built by the staff at www.mc-pc.co.uk were doing very well in the Search Engine Results. so well that they got rid of the Search Engine Optimisation Specialist from MC-PC and decided that they would be ok on there own. BAD MISTAKE. They have now slipped from a page rank 6 to a page rank 3.

Since January 2010 the bosses daughter has returned from Scotland asa she was ejected by her girlfriend and now she a brought TouristNetUK to its knees. She has single handedly got rid of all the staff that where able to think for them selves as she saw them as a threat, and is now running around the office on some mad power trip, her girlfriend looks like the honey monster

The new TouristNetUK.co.uk site built by www.mc-pc.co.uk , to replace the old www.touristnetuk.com after 12 years of different inexperienced staff creating rubbish pages that were NOT getting found no where by the search engines.
So TouristNetUK paid MC-PC £120,000 to build 5,000 new pages to contain the top money making services which are Hotels, Self-Catering and Camping.

But since then the bosses daughter, a wanbe son Lol has wreaked everything that was good about the new site.
Please do Not waste your money adverting on a site that is Not getting found on Google, yahoo and Bing.

After 5 years of working freelance at TouristNetUK, I have now finished with them I am gad to say.
Their CEO Malcolm Johnson is a lier, who has now crossed the line with the Blogger business.

There Web Site is in a terrible state with 150 + coding errors within each of the 5200+ UK town pages.
Not one web page validates to the W3C standard for HTML 4, and due to the amount of Affiliate Members from laterooms, Booking.com, Eivivvo and Hotels.com, Google now treats the site as a lepper due to all of the thousands of Reproduced Affiliate Accommodation profiles.

Do your self a favor and say "NO" next time TouristNetUK come calling and asking for more money for a advert that does not work.

I have to share this with you about TouristNetUK. I was asked on Saturday to make a administrator account for Malcolm (TouristNetUK CEO) on the Tourist Net UK Blog. Malcolm has just called to ask me how to make new administrators on the blog, After showing him where the Permissions Tab was, he then Revoked my administration from the blog and told me he had removed me from the Administrators list.
The reason behind this is?

MC-PC are just about to launch their own UK Tourism web site called "Tourist Accommodation UK"
But what a shitty way of TouristNetUK to go about this eh, but this just shows the grim level that TouristNetUK are willing to go to.

Our new "Tourist Accommodation UK" web site has been created using W3C Validated XHTML, unlike TouristNetUK useless HTML code that has 150+ Validation errors within each pages code, and thats just the beginning.
This lack of Validated code means that for the past 2 years TouristNetUK web pages have sipped down from Google Page One positions due their competition using better web page coding.

The reson for MC-PC going it atone is that "TouristNetUK" have been taken over by the bosses daughter, who has not got a clue on how to run a web site business.

We at "Tourist Accommodation UK" intend on contacting ALL of the current 5000+ TouristNetUK members and sharing the fact that they are now wasting there money by advertising within the TouristNetUK site.

"Tourist Accommodation UK" aim to offer All of the TouristNetUK members FREE Membership over the first 6 months to help them out of the mess caused by TouristNetUK.

123REG and their Terrible Service

Hello everyone
I have to share this with you all about 123REG and their terrible service and lies.
I registered for a New Domain Name and a ASP server hosting package with 123REG aboy 2 weeks ago, what a mistake.
I have a ASP site that I wanted to post to my server, so I use Filezilla to FTP my ASAP site to my new server, and when I looked at the site in my browser all as I could see was -
Server Error
500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
So I called 123REG and explained that I had a problem and was advised to go to their troubleshooting web page and raise a query with their Tech Support, which I did.
After this did not work I called them again to be told that It was my code?
I then posted my new ASP code to another ASP server I have and surprise surprise that site worked fine? So I went back to their trouble shooting page and explained that my code was NOT at fault and that I had tried the code on another server which worked fine.
They where still saying that the fault lay with my code and their server worked fine.
I have sent them a email with the URL of the site that works with my ASP code, but they still say it my code thats at fault, and NOT their server. Even though they can clearly see that the problem is with them at their end they still insist on lying over that telephone and via email

123-Reg do not offer comprehensive scripting, coding or debugging support I'm afraid so the first point of correction should be the software author or vendor themselves who have created the software you have installed as they will have experience of the application/code.

Hello :) and welcome back to MC-PC Blog.
I have to tell you about a ugly side of Telesales / SEO.
One of my customers was called yesterday by Direct marketing (sorry I dont have the URL :( )
Anyway, they told my customer that they are part of the Google group and they will get you them to Google page 1 for 5 different keywords for 1 month all for a deposit of £100 and £20 a month. The company has then registered my customer for only 1 obscure keyword and had the cheek to call back today asking for more money? Worth a try I here you say. WRONG. After my customer had explained what happend I had the sad duty of telling them that they had been scammed. :(
Please THINK before you give money to any one promising Google Page 1 in 24 hours. Take it from me, a SEO specialist, This is a scam, they take your money then register you on Google AdWords. This is NOT the first time I have herd of this scam. And probably not the last.
Be careful and remember that there is only one true way to get to the top of Google page 1 and thats with SEO the Organic way, unless you do use AdWords. But why pay some one else to set up a AdWords account when you can easily do it yourself for the keywords YOU want.

MC-PC have just completed a new site for Inner City Homes. The new web site can be found at http://www.inner-city-homes.co.uk/. Inner City Homes are a Lettings Agents and Estate Agents in Stoke-on-Trent. Their old site at http://www.innercityhomes.net/ looked nice but was not designed and constructed with Search Engine Optimisation in mind. The pages on the old site are made up using PHP and all the pages shared the same HEAD so automatically shared the same META Title, description and Keywords. What the web designer was thinking about when he did this I don't know, nor do I wish to know. Google would of course have spammed ALL of the pages on the old site immediately, as it would have thought that tge pages were all the same.. A Validator button was on the pages but the pages did not validate? There where no Alt tags in the code, Nor Title tags. Making Google job very hard to Crawl and Index the page correctly. Over all it was easer for me to start from scratch and redesign the old site into the newer http://www.inner-city-homes.co.uk/. All the pages are Hand Coded using NotePad in XHTML Strict 1.0 and I have used CSS 2.1 to format all of the page content. The pages have been constructed using % instead of fixed dimensions so the mobile devices can also raed the pages correctly. MC-PC always use the above to construct ALL of the pages created, as I believe in if some thing works then why fix it?

Once to page has proved to the owners of Inner City Homes that it does what it says on the tin then the whole site will be re-written into xHTML by MC-PC, this will take the Inner City Home web site onto Google page 1, position 1. MC-PC have been busy Search Engine Optimising a new site for Oglee Guest House Stanhope Avenue Woodhall Spa Lincolnshire. The have 5 web pages including the Oglee Guest House Home page and a Oglee Guest House Accommodation page and a Oglee Guest House Attractions page and a Oglee Guest House location page and a Oglee Guest House Contact page. All the pages have had their Meta Titles, Descriptions and Keywords Optimised as well as Alt and Titles adding to all Images and links. the next step is to then produce a Robots text and sitemap.xml for all Search Engine Robots wanting to Crawl and Index all the pages of the site. The Google, Bing and Yahoo accounts are then added as are the page URL's submitted to Google at "http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl" and Yahoo at "https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit". The only steps left are to ADD the business "Orglee Guest House" to Google Maps and add a review then add so well placed links around the web for the search engines to find. :-)

MC-PC have just designed and are currently building a new web site for A D BOOTH and SONS Ltd ROOFING. The A D Booth and Sons Ltd ROOFING WEB SITE has 3 pages, a Home page, a About Page and a Contact Page. All the pages have been validated as W3C XHTML Strict and the following tools have been added. Google Maps, Analytics, Web Master Tools have been added. Also Yahoo and Bing Webmaster Tools have been used for Search Engine Optimisation. The keywords "Roofing Newcastle Under Lyme" when searched on Google are already finding the new web site at position 32 of a possable 26,000+ pages. Not bad saying the Site was onky submitted to Google 2 days ago. :-) I will let you know how this web site goes on over time.

4. Naltrexone™ - This is a one-year prevention package using the drug Naltrexone™ which will block any effects of opiates if they are taken, rendering the use of Heroin ineffective and thus preventing re-addiction. Visits will take place during the first two weeks of treatment and monthly thereafter to monitor compliance. On each occasion support guidance and encouragement will be given to develop total independence of addictive substances. A drug screen will be carried out at each visit.

Internet Business Solutions Ltd Continued

I have just received a call from Internet Business Solutions Ltd saying that they are right and I am wrong in debaiting what they say "Surprise Surprise" about Newcastle-Under-Lyme not being particularly known for Web Design and Website Development. I see this as painting a very bad picture of the Newcastle-Under-Lyme web development industry including the surrounding areas. Newcastle-Under-Lyme is not particularly renowned for many things including begging or ice cream production but I don't see many web sites stating this fact. There Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, Trentham, pages etcetera are all saying the same thing which is SPAMMING. Apparently as a local freelance web designer I am not supposed to be offended by there view that "Whilst Newcastle-under-Lyme is not particularly known for Web Design and Website Development, Internet Business Solutions Ltd are one of the UK’s leading Web Design providers and service clients in Staffordshire." I take this statement very seriously as saying that there are NO website developers or a web industry particularly worth mentioning within the Newcastle or surrounding areas, except there business of course which is utter nonsense. I understand that a business would want to big them selves up but not at the expense of all the hard working local web designers within the web development industry who are as good if not better than themselves. There idea of web design is to make a site containing virtual the same page over and over again except to change the Town name and change the adverts around, from where I come from this is SPAM. Please don't take my word for it, check out the site for yourself and compare the similarity's for yourself. here are 3 examples of what I mean by just changing the town names and adverts. 1. http://www.netbizsolutions.co.uk/staffordshire/newcastle-under-lyme.php 2. http://www.netbizsolutions.co.uk/staffordshire/stoke-on-trent.php 3. http://www.netbizsolutions.co.uk/staffordshire/trentham.php

If this is there idea of original data then im glad Google and the other search engines have spam filters and as far as web development goes then I hate spam. As a fair man who is good at his job, I do like competition but I'm glad that I don't feel the need to put down the local web development industry to get my message across. In my case, word of mouth is my best friend as all my customers get what they pay for and then tell there business associates about the good service they received.

I had to share this web site with you that I have just come across. A local business called "Internet Business Solutions Ltd ". This is what they have put on there page "Whilst Newcastle-under-Lyme is not particularly known for Web Design and Website Development, Internet Business Solutions Ltd are one of the UK’s leading Web Design providers and service clients in Staffordshire." In one breath they are saying there is no local talent within the web development industry then in the next they are saying they are a local web development company who are of course available? I must assume that when the say "Newcastle-under-Lyme is not particularly known for Web Design and Website Development" they are referring to them selves, strange but true. As a freelance web developer and a local person from within the Newcastle area I take great offence to there stupid sales pitch that they have posted. There web site looks like it is 99.9% spam ecept for the odd difference in there town names and the placing of there adverts, and there site does NOT even appear on Google search engine results page one for Web Design or Search Engine Optimisation. This is leading me to believe that not only are they spam cowboys with big boasts of being a UK number 1, but they are not very good at web design or SEO. They then have the cheek to advertise for web developers from within this area that they say is not particularly renowned for Web Design and Website Development. I think that they should take a look at them selves and there web site before slating other hard working local web developers in this manner.

MC-PC has been busy as usual, and this time its gates and railings for Rob @ -
Ace Gates & Railings in Stoke-on-Trent.
It was decided by myself and Rob that to save time and money in making a new site or re-designing and re-building the old site - Ace Gates, we would take the HOME page from the old site and make it into the Home page for the new site. :) The new site now has one page that will drive traffic into the old site. The NEW Ace Gates and Railings web site now has Google Analytics, Google Web Master Tools, Yahoo Site Explorer and MS Live Search Web Master Tools. The site has been submitted to ALL the top search engines and is now well on its way to a top position within the Google, Yahoo and Live Search Engine Results Pages. We have decided that the Keywords that need to be targeted are Ace Gates Railings Stoke-on-Trent, of course this could and will change over time. I will be bringing you more news as it arrives, so for now. Goodbye.

Hello and welome once again to me having a moan about the UK and the ways its being mishandleld by the idiot MP's in London. I have just read Yahoo news and apperently the Police / governet are expecting a summer of rage? Thats right people the goverment have heard a roumor the the UK people are NOT happy with the way Labour and there fat cat banker friends have screwed us time and time again over the last 11 years. And now they realise that we the people have had enuff of them. How will this be handled by the PoePoe's = "Police" I hear you ask? With water cannons and rubber bullets if we are lucky as its now illegal to protest unless you book a appointment first and then abide to ALL there health and safty laws of corse. If you thought that this cuntry is supposed to be a country of FREE speach then you are living in cloud coo coo land the same as the MP's and the Police. Did you ever think WHY they took all the guns of us? But kept them for them selves? Its becouse they know the day of reconing IS coming and guns or no guns, the people WILL have there say. And if you thought the Labour will regain power at the next election then you are probably right as 9/10 people in the UK are thick as shit and want nothing more than TV and Beer :( What a sad country for my and your children to be growing/ draged up in eh.

If you search Google UK for "Four Seasons Air Conditioning ", Four Seasons Air Conditioning are now in position 154 from a possable 280,000. The FSA site and pages was optimised by staff at MC-PC Search Engine Optimisation on the 6th November 2008. For a site that is less than 4 weeks old in Googles eyes, the Four Seasons web site is doing very good in my opinion to be so high up in the results pages. :)Most of the Hotel sites that I am web master for have droped due to the holiday season being finished. If you search Google for "Air Conditioning West Midlands Four Seasons" The Blog, Facebook, Digg and Delicious pages are at 1, :> 2, 3, and oh yes 4 :) Not bad for 1 hours work two days ago, and oh yes, the analytics where introduced by me 9 days ago. All staff at MC-PC have been working on a new project Four Seasons Air Conditioning in the West Midlands. The site has been search engine optimised for best possable search engine results page indexing and resulting. The Google Analytics were placed on the pages last friday and I can now happly report that some pages are already coming up in Googles search results :) If you search google UK for "Air Conditioning West Midlands Four Seasons" the following - FSA Leasing Page is showing in position 18 out of a posable 6000+ entrys :)
What a result for a page wich was only submited last week by MC-PC. The following pages have also been created for FSA on Facebook -

20% Rise in Traffic by MC-PC and Google

I am glad to report that Google Analytics shows Page Views for TouristNetUK are up by 20% over the last month to 155,000 + :)

The number of people requesting details is up :) and the number of new customers is up. :)

The RECESSION is here and the holiday season has nearly finished until next year, BUT Page Views are UP :)

The current job for MC-PC Web Design has been to create a report on "TouristNetUK on the WWW and Social Networking". The report was presented to 12 key staff members, from CEO & Directors to admin and sales. Eleven people were present in the office, with one on skype and one using the telephone hands. We used PowerPoint to present the information you can find it at TouristNetUK Presentation.

I now firmly believe the change of keywords IS responsible for the current rise in the Page Views.

Well believe it or not, the Google Analytics figures have carried on rising for some of the sites that I am webmaster for. TouristNetUK has showed the best results with a dramatic jump from a average 120,000 page views to a amazing 150.000+.
Is the secret formulae for page views -
1. Hard work in rebuilding the site with SEO in mind and more capital invested for manpower in page creation?
2. More pages being found through Keywords and phrases after being optimised for search?
3. More people searching for UK accommodation?
4. More Spider-Bots crawling the site due to our Digg and Delicious activities and the fact that TouristNetUK now has a group on all the major Social Networking sites, Facebook, MtSpace, YouTube, Bebo?
The answer is - Its a little bit of all of the above statements:)
According to Google Analytics, direct traffic into the site is responsible for the dramatic increase in visitors and page views.

New Laptop for Me :)

Ive just ordered a new laptop today for MC-PC "me+computer", I should get it in the morning. You can find it at Misco. The laptop Ive got has done me proud with windows :( 2000 Pro, with a little bit of .NET in there to so I'm now paying the price with my application speeds, it just seems to be running dead slow these days. Unless its because Ive been playing on my sons new laptop also from Misco, and when I do go back to my old ting it just don't match up? Anyway I'm now sitting here like a kid at Christmas waiting for the parcel delivery guy to turn up in the morning :) Carnt wait *.*

Stats with the help of Google Analytics

Well after spending the last 3 days going through Google Analytics trying to find out why some of the figures have gone up, I am able to report that I think the the traffic increase is a down to direct traffic to the sites. This could be
1. Spiders - We have started to use Digg and Delicious so it would make sense for the traffic to go up due to the Spiders / Search engine bots crawling the sites after finding them on Digg and Delicious and.
2. The people are returning to the sites from there Favorites instead of doing a Organic search, and that's how they probably found the sites in the first place.

Please comment of get in touch if you have any more ideas what is causing this phenomena. I would love your input.

If you to are interested in Search Engine Optimisation I would suggest starting with the book Advanced Web Metrics for Google Analytics. What a brilliant book :)

Page Views are up and up by MC-PC!

Here at MC-PC Web Design we have spent the weekend trying to work out why the figures for some of the sites we webmaster for have gone up between 100% - 250%? I have eventualy tracked it down to DIRECT traffic. By direct traffic I asume that the Google Analytics figures have gone up through Spider-Robots crawling the server due to our Digg and Delicious campain. Has our investment of time and effort in the Social Networking technologys worked I hear you ask, sorry I carnt answer that right now but there are still some figures I need to see b4 I can confirm that. Well well well. Nice 1 Google for helping to send the page views through the roof on a site that I webmaster for. Tourist Net UK Ltd have for the past 10 years been using TouristNetUK.COM to display all of there pages, but after 10 years the Web has changed. So after 10 months of planning between MC-PC Web Design and Tourist Net UK Ltd the decision was made to re-build the site using the same style and colour and content as the current .com site. The name TouristNetUK stayed too and became the new and improved TouristNetUK.CO.UK using various web technology's including .ASP and XML to help generate the pages and content.

The figures for the site are collected and presented using Google Analytics, which have been recording every detail for the past 8 months. The goal was to use the TouristNetUK.CO.UK figures using Google Analytics to measure the sites pages as success or failure. The Meta Keywords were changed my me on the 24th of September based on the whats the Anaytics have showed to be the best and the results have benn astounding.

The figures have shot up by some 300% from an average 15 page views to an average 45 page views per day.

Quite amazing when you relies that by using .ASP I only have to change ONE .ASP file to update ALL the sites .ASP pages. Amazing results eh, we will see :)

The United States really does seem to be teetering on the brink of an abyss, and will it fall and fall soon I hear every body ask?

I think the US has already fell and fell hard, and only now we are feeling and hearing the "BIG BANG Fallout" of that US fall around the world.

What follows capitalism for the US people? Communism maybe as the USA never tried that did they? But what ever they do that are doomed for the not so far distant future that's for sure.

What follows for the world, no USA? Would that be so bad? I DON'T THINK SO

What follows for all the rich people, A revolution by the poor people I suspect trying the rid the world of Hunger and famine and FAT CAT BANKERS, Politicians Etc.

But please don't get me wrong, I am no USA hater as I hope Britain and all the other so called developed SUPER POWER nations follows it down the toilet where they belong.

To help me with my search engine optimisation skills I have brought a book on Google Analytics, Advanced Web Metrics with Google Analytics. I have been using Google Analytics for over a year now on a daily basis for a variety of sites including - TouristNetUK, MC-PC Web Design, Hotel UK Accommodation, Taxi Bike. Some of the sites have over 120,000 visits a month and some 300 visits so getting to grips with Google Analytics is important for many reason, which has up till now been used most of all for measuring the visits per day, week and month. Basic stuff really so now its time change the face of Google Analytics as I know it using my new Advanced Web Metrics with Google Analytics book. :) 1Life

Yes, MC-PC are number 1 out of about 40,000 web pages once again in the Google Search Engine Results Pages for the keywords "Web Design Newcastle-Under-Lyme". This is for both Google .com and Google .co.uk. This is a GREAT RESULT for MC-PC Web Design. Well done Google for realising great web design when it crawls it. MC-PC Web Design have been number 1 in the Google Maps results for Web Design Businesses in Newcastle-Under-Lyme for quite a while now too. :)

Today's chore has been to add all the contacts i have to Yahoo and Outlook. You'd have thought they may export the contact for easy addition to 3rd party apps. The contacts are to get the chance to take part in a little experiment. They have been asked to add them selves to a blog, myspace, youtube, facebook, bebo and flickr. After they have completed that mighty feat, thay have been asked to Digg and Delicious bookmark pages at there discretion for SEO purposes. Do blogs increase traffic to a site? Hope fully we are going to find out :)

My son and I today added a new ASP Cell to TouristNetUK, as this will allow for the addition of fresh text at later date for R&D search engine optimisation reasons. Iframes , Tranlators and Search boxes

The task in hand is to provide an Iframe for the already existing pages on Tourist Net UK , this Iframe must include a Translator Link, a Blogger button and a serch box. Not only do the pages need a Iframe at the top, but also need a Iframe on the right hand side for Adverts. At the same time as i have the pages in Notepad "cus thats how i work" i must also do the following with the HTML, move the Analytics Code and replace all the "../" relitive address with http://www.touristnetuk.com/images

So lets recap -

1. Iframe with -
1a. Translator code
1b. Blogger Button
1c. Google Search Box and Text "SEARCH"

1d. Iframe for Adverts on right hand side below links

2. Update HTML in page
2a. Move the Google Analytics Code from top of the page to the bottom.

They are a Staffordshire based company whos servises include Online booking for UK Accommodation, Tourist Information on Attractions, Activitys, Food and Drink and just about everything else that a UK traveller would want. Touristnetuk.com has over 10,000 pages and as been live on the WWW for over 10 years, seeing and adapting to the new developments on the WWW.

But like everything in life, with time everything gets old, that's why in 2007 MC-PC Web Design was asked to re-develope the Touristnetuk.com Site into the Newer Touristnetuk.co.uk Site, and with the help of all the team at TouristNetUK including Malcolm, Sarah, Martin, Laura, Chris and Rich. The Touristnetuk.co.uk site is now almost complete using .ASP for easy updating and the addition of new data for UK hotels, self-catering aparthotels and holiday and business accommodation alike.

The Data migration from Touristnetuk.com to Touristnetuk.co.uk has taken 8 months, and now is being best optimised for the Web and the UK customers that it has been designed to attract and serve.
